The REVOLUT Bank
Initially In July 2025, I was contacted by Ms. Vanessa Amaral from the REVOLUT Bank, who offered me a savings contract with an interest rate of 5.95%. Interested in this rate, which was higher than the rate at my local post office bank, I immediately deposited €500 to open this savings account. I signed this contract for a one-year term, renewable or not.
Then, on August 11th, I sent €5,000 to the IBAN I received Encouraged by a Mr. Milan, a wealth manager, between August and October, I sent three more deposits of €5,000 into this account. My total savings therefore amount to €20,500.
To monitor this account, I had a username and password that allowed me to track the interest accrued under the contract on a table provided by the bank.
Between August and October 2025, Mr. Milan called me several times to extol the virtues of this savings plan. Following the last call, during which Mr. Milan asked me how much money I still had available to increase my capital, I told him I no longer had any funds in my postal bank account.
Meanwhile, since the contract allowed me to make online withdrawals, I tried to make one myself due to an urgent need. I immediately received a call from Mr. Milan who said he would personally take care of it. So I waited, but in vain. Furthermore, I subsequently lost access to my account with my password. I therefore suspected a possible scam.
However, in December, when I called, this gentleman informed me that my account balance was €32,500, which seemed high compared to the expected interest rate, but I still had no online access to my account.
Several times, I tried to regain access by contacting the bank’s support, but to no avail, as the bank couldn’t find the email address associated with my account. My intuition tells me it’s a scam. Scammers have been using the website to steal money from supposed customers for their own personal accounts. Are these scammers employees or do they have accomplices within the bank? That’s the question…
Realizing I wouldn’t be able to find a way to recover my money, I filed a complaint with the police. Since I don’t trust our justice system, I prefer to share this information as a warning to anyone considering opening an account with this bank.
Naturally, I am asking Revolut Bank to compensate me for my investments plus accrued interest so that I don’t pursue my investigations any further.
Additional note: My legal protection insurance (postal bank), which covers scams, refuses to provide compensation.
